Puppy Duckling

Hey, Sam here.  Before I say anything else, I want you to know I didn't do it!  I know your first thought will be it was my fault.  Or Buddy or Merci caused it.  Or maybe the kitties.  But none of us were even outside so no  matter what anyone thinks, I was not present.  I didn't trip Jan.  I didn't push her.  And I didn't swing around and hit her with my brick butt.  (Brick Butt, that's what Jan calls me.)  So I am completely and totally innocent.  Remember that, please.

I have a short doggy and duckling video for you today.  These two, the dog and the duckling, live in China and are best friends.  Jan won't let me have my own duckling.  She says I don't pay attention to what I'm doing and I'd either step or sit on it.  Where would she get such a crazy idea?

If the video doesn't play, click here.

Oh, we won't be around much for a day or two or whatever.  Jan fell while cutting weeds along the walk yesterday and besides lots of soft tissue pain, she injured her hand and shoulder, so she has trouble typing and we'll have to fill in for her on other projects.

Jan was tripped by a weed with a tough root system and a strong will to live.  I am innocent.  We Funny Farmers are all completely innocent.  This time.

  1. Wow....seems like a lot of innocence being proclaimed here. Sure there isn't just a little bit of guilt?? At my house, I'd be blamed for everything! But I understand....it be da weed's fault! Weed wrestling is NOT fur da faint of heart! Or in this case>>>>>>well, anyway, hope Jan is better soon.

  6. I hopes Jan does just what Fuzzy Tales mentioned..and purrs and more purrs that she feels all better soon.

Mom was pulling a big rooted weed out once..it suddenly gave way and mommy was catapulted (no pun intended..it wasn't MY fault) about 4 feet away with the force she was exerting when the weed suddenly gave way. Hurt her back then.

  13. Of course you are innocent, Sam! How could anyone think otherwise. Hope you're feeling better soon, Jan!

Loved the video! I got all mushy thinking that here we're watching a video of someone half a world away, who showed kindness to another species... and then two critters of different species found companionship and affection with each other in his home. Maybe there is hope for this big old world of ours.

  14. Now I want a duckling, after watching that video! :-)

(Hsin-Yi says she wonders if the duckling imprinted on the puppy and that's why it was following it around everywhere??)

And Sam - I totally believe that you're innocent! :-)
